Sell in May and Walk Away? 📉
May has continued the trend of chop, chop, and more chop. Summers are a notoriously tricky time period for the markets as is and with politics swarming this cycle, it’s gonna make this a bumpy road to potential all time highs.
We’ve had the holy grail of $ETH news, with an $ETH ETF on the horizon, along with the return of inflows for the $BTC ETFs, but it still hasn’t been enough to push us up and to the right…yet.
But for traders who are well-versed in the chop, you’ve been having a great time! Same goes for $KLP/$KTC stakers as well as our increase in fees means you’re getting paid out more!
Speaking of increase in fees, let’s take a look at how KTX performed on our various chains!

What a time to be alive! It’s been a long journey but we’re almost to the coveted $10 Billion mark. Will you be part of the group that pushes us over?

KTC Updates 💻
During the month of May we dropped two big updates for $KTC worth talking about!
We introduced our Arbitrum Atlas campaign (our single largest airdrop to date) on Arbitrum and also got $KTC available for trading on a CEX!
Let’s see what these announcements were all about 👇
Arbitrum Atlas 📕
Arbitrum Atlas was our largest single airdrop to date with over $500k $KTC being distributed to our Arbitrum users!
Users gained “Atlas Rings”, a spin on points, for 2 weeks in order to maximize their airdrop allocation. There was 4 different ways to accumulate Atlas Rings:
- Using our Arbitrum KTX deployment before April 21st
- $PYTH stakers who staked before April 22.
- Vaultka Leveraged $KLP (Tequila Vault) participants as of 21st April 2024
- Users who engage with KTX during this main Arbitrum Atlas event period from 7th May, 0000hrs to 21st May, 2359hrs UTC+8
Those who already staked $KTC and $KLP were earning Rings along with those who were actively trading on KTX with nice volume.
Official Listing ☑️
In order to bring $KTC to as many liquid trading venues as possible, we’ve worked with MEXC to list $KTC as a tradeable spot asset!
That means, starting May 31st, you’re able to buy spot $KTC on MEXC. $KTC was also included in MEXC’s Kickstarter event that gives users more pre-launch tokens by staking $MX.
22,222 $KTC and 30,000 $USDT were up for grabs for $MX stakers, just another airdrop courtesy of, well, us!
Campaigns 🎆
One of our favorite things to do is to run various campaigns, quests, and competitions for all our users. There isn’t a soul out there that doesn’t love free money!
So we tend to try and run campaigns fairly often to keep Defi fun, like we did here with:
KTX Novus 🌌
We launched a HUGE trading event over on BNB chain to show some love to our KTX OGs!
This trading event started on May 29th and goes all the way to June 25th, with over $30,000 in prize rewards!
This exclusive event also allows you to take part in BNB chain’s Trading Volume Incentive Program as well, which can give traders up to $80,000 in prize winnings 💰

Mantle Missions 🌝
We also started a new Galxe Quest, jointly hosted by our friends in Merchant Moe and Timeswap.
These quests were designed for users to complete by interacting with all projects, with a total prize pool of 20,000 $MNT. Anyone who successfully completed all tasks would receive 10 $MNT for their troubles.
These types of events are some of our favorites to run as it gives everyone a look at some of the other fantastic teams deployed on Mantle. A rising tide lifts all ships!
On the Horizon 🌄
So with May gone away, did everyone get their fill of selling? Is it time to resume favorable trading conditions?
We won’t hold our breath but Summer is a time for touching grass and setting yourself up for the impending bull cycle. A good way to do that is to search for yield so make sure you’re paying attention to all KTX deployments to see which chain is offering the highest $ETH yield for $KTC and $KLP stakers.
